The Angry Cashier

If you ever worked in a grocery store and then were no longer working in a grocery store, once you were no longer working in a grocery store you would find that you never ever had a bad experience in a grocery store again. Bad experiences cease for you as a grocery store customer if you have ever spent any time as a grocery store employee. You know why? Because once you are no longer an employee of a grocery store, when you are IN one just to shop, you know that you can LEAVE the grocery store ANY TIME YOU FEEL LIKE IT FOR AS LONG AS YOU WANT. And so it is if the cashier "yells" at you - which they never actually do unless provoked - you won't care. In fact she could set your fucking groceries on fire and you wouldn't care. Because you know you can just leave: and she has to stay. And you know for all the time that she is there she is going to be fucking miserable. Because you used to be her. And you are not anymore. So you don't care "how she treats" you. You just don't care. Because you can just leave. And you know that no matter how bad she may be - she would like to leave with you. But she can't. She has to stay in there. Now: you would THINK; that working in a grocery store; JUST MIGHT BE FUN. Well, it should be. There is not one inherent reason why it should NOT be fun. Except for the nigger and Mexican holdups. But it is not fun. It is a seperate universe dedicated to a perverted delight in misery. For reasons far beyond the scope of this post. But if you are merely a customer; you can leave. Rejoice in that. No matter how bad you think things are going for you in there. Because they are not going bad for you in there. Not if you are a customer. Because you can leave.
