How Are We Doing?

I went to the Ft. Stockton Super 8 recently. Place was an abyss. It's run by fucking Hindus. Hindus now run the American motel industry. They gut these cards they want you to fill out. "How did we do?" They can't be bothered checking things over themselves. They want you to monitor the place. The fucking card then gets sent to Guam. But at least its postage-paid. And I am sure that whoever reads it will get right on it. They'll fix that fucking chugging little refrigerator in Room Two Oh Five in Ft. Stockton moo ee pron toe sen yore. I damn near threw the grinding, wheezing little monstrosity out the window. But I couldn't get the window open. At first I thought it was to keep me safe. Eventually I realized it was to discourage me from throwing broken shit out the window. The brackets on the curtains in front of the window were coming out of the wall. The carpet in the hallway looked like it had carpeted cattle drives in the 1800's. The "intruder-discouraging doors" between your car and the building rarely closed on their own. And on those rare occasions when they did, you had to use the door card to open it. If you had your hands full you had to drop everything; to get the card; to get into the building. Meanwhile you're paying for all this. They couldn't just have "a mutant-free building." And just keep the doors unlocked. That's too big a problem. No, what they need to do is make it difficult for YOU to get into the building. Meanwhile the mutants can just go in while you're holding the door open with your foot and re-lifting your cargo. And then whattaya gonna do, tell the guy he can't enter the building? I guess you are. You're doing everything else for them. Might as well work security detail too. They won't. I didn't answer their card "How Are We Doing?" It seemed too much like just another hoop to jump through. If the Muslims fly a plane into an American motel it pro'bly won't be just the Palestinians cheering in the streets for THAT little incident. But the Muslims won't ever do that. American Motels are already shitholes. And they just like to fuck up nice stuff. So it's a pretty good bet that in the next attack on the USA a chain motel will probably be the safest place to be. At least from that.
